What this site collects
Last updated 7 September 2026
Drawn From the Record is a small independent project about archival history. It has no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party tracking scripts. The only personal information it can hold about you is an email address you typed in yourself.
If you join the mailing list
When you submit the form on the home page, the site stores:
- Your email address.
- Which page you submitted from, and any campaign tag in the link that brought you there. This tells us which episode or post led someone to sign up.
- The date you signed up.
The address is used for one thing: occasional email about this project — new episodes, research notes, and prints. It is never sold, rented, traded, or used for advertising, and it is not shared with anyone outside the services listed below.
Signing up sends a confirmation link. Until you click it, the address sits unconfirmed and receives nothing. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes the address rather than hiding it.
Measurement
Pages are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free. It records aggregate page views, referrers, and rough country and device type. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot follow you to other websites. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no session recording on this site.
As with any website, the host keeps standard server request logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, and nothing here needs your consent to a cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
Where the data is held
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and the page-view measurement described above.
- Supabase — the database holding mailing-list addresses.
- Resend — used to deliver confirmation and mailing-list email.
These providers process the data on our behalf in order to run the site. Nobody else receives it.
Links to other places
This site links out to TikTok, Pinterest, and an Etsy shop. Those links carry a tag identifying which page they came from, so we can tell what people found useful. Once you land on one of those platforms you are covered by that platform's own privacy policy, not this one — we receive no personal information back from them, only counts.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe using the link in any email.
- Ask what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted. There is very little — almost certainly one row containing an email address — and we will remove it on request, without asking why.
Wherever you live, you are welcome to make these requests; we do not restrict them by region.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Contact
Questions about anything on this page, or a request to see or delete what is held: hello@drawnfromtherecord.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting the mailing list will also be sent to the list.
